The Latest in Bellhop Fashion: Cast Member Uniforms

A photo reference of the Tower of Terror cast member uniforms, posted to the micechat forums.
Naturally, Disney themed the Cast Member uniforms to go with the ride environment of the Tower of Terror.  Given that the theme was a haunted hotel, the employees dressed as bellhops.  Advertisements and promotional photos often emphasized a "creepy bellhop" type character, complete with ghostly makeup, but as far as I understand the actual ride operators never wore such makeup as part of their uniform (it would probably be way too time-consuming and budget-unfriendly to outfit every Tower Cast Member in such a fashion!).  Ghost-makeup-wearing bellhops were present at the DCA Opening Ceremony, however.

As you can see in the photo, male and female cast members wore basically the same uniform, with the exception of the coats opening in opposite directions.  I never noticed that detail before!

While on the subject of bellhops, here’s a video about them that the official Disney Parks YouTube posted in October 2012:

And while we’re on the subject of cast member uniforms, here’s some preview art of the CM uniforms for the GOTG Tower, designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Associate Costume Designer Christine Burchett, according to the Micechat post that released the image:

I actually think the GOTG costumes are quite stylish. They’re certainly the nicest-looking design to come out of this remodel mess so far.
